As shown in the data of the China's Ministry of Transport, the total throughput of domestic ports in July was 26.36 million TEUs, growing 2.05% MoM compared to June and 11.18% YoY compared to the same month last year; the total volume completed from January to July was 168.68 million TEUs, up 4.19% YoY. As the epidemic stabilized around the country, the government introduced a series of relevant policies, focusing on stabilizing the supply chain of the industry chain to help enterprises secure orders, markets and confidence, so export figures have returned to the level before the epidemic. The highlights are as follows:


The port of Shanghai recorded a monthly throughput of 4.3 million TEUs in July, which not only surpassed the monthly figure before the epidemic, but also set a record high for the same period in history. From January to July, the total throughput of Shanghai Port has grown at a positive rate. In addition, the Port of Shanghai is also pushing forward with its digital transformation development, sustaining the promotion of new technology empowerment and working towards the goal of "building a top hub port, a smart green port and a safe and resilient port".


The port of Ningbo Zhoushan has achieved 3.28 million TEUs, exceeding 3 million TEUs for four consecutive months. Since this year, the port of Ningbo Zhoushan has strengthened its two-way hub function, consolidated its development engine and boosted the quality of transport production in a stable manner. As an important hub for global cargo import and export, the port of Ningbo Zhoushan has taken the initiative to strengthen the cooperation with all parties, including government departments, shipping companies and logistics enterprises, to tighten the network of container routes and sea-rail intermodal transport, and continuously upgrade the supply of capacity of sea-land two-way channels by giving full play to the advantages of sea-rail, sea-river and river-sea intermodal transport combinations.
